Welcome to Blue Basil

With its fusion style menu, Blue Basil offers one of the most memorable dining experiences on the North Shore. Chef/Owner Jim Corbin draws from his many culinary experiences, and on inspiration from cultures around the globe to create his truly astounding menu. A guest may view the artistry at work in the kitchen through an open window into the dining room.

The dining room sparkles with details. From the hand-painted chargers and the fine-stemmed glasses, to the wonderful color palette and the exquisite work of a local artist, you will immediately sense that you are in a place where the details are part of the experience.

The warm and inviting atmosphere paired with the outstanding cuisine allows Blue Basil to be a marvelous choice! Dinner is served Wednesday-Saturday from 6pm. Reservations are recommended. Come visit us!

Reviews:

"Chef James Corbin, who owns this casually sophisticated restaurant with his wife, Corinna, concocts combinations that are fusion with a capital ``F.'' As big-band jazz plays softly in the background, you might find pheasant glazed with pomegranate molasses or roasted cod paired with pungent seaweed noodles. Service is knowledgeable but unobtrusive."

"Blue Basil in Rowley isn’t your garden variety small town restaurant. Rating: Gourmet Greatness 83 pts. Dinner began with a dance of flavors in the Szechwan Pepper Seared Venison Carpaccio. The exotic taste of the crushed Asian berries played off the rich red meat and silky sherry-orange mayonnaise. Thai Bouillabaisse found the familiar French stew turned on its head with the use of a coconut-based broth that stood up well to the grilled shrimp, scallops, and chorizo."
